The World Will Hate You

John 15:18-25 The Hatred of the World 18 “If the world hates you, know that it has hated me before it hated you. 19 If you were of the world, the world would love you as its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, therefore the world hates you. 20 Remember the word that I said to you: A servant is not greater than his master.’ If they persecuted me, they will also persecute you. If they kept my word, they will also keep yours. 21 But all these things they will do to you on account of my name, because they do not know him who sent me. 22 If I had not come and spoken to them, they would not have been guilty of sin but now they have no excuse for their sin. 23 Whoever hates me hates my Father also. 24 If I had not done among them the works that no one else did, they would not be guilty of sin, but now they have seen and hated both me and my Father. 25 But the word that is written in their Law must be fulfilled: ‘They hated me without a cause.”
When you are a follower of Christ, the world will hate you regardless of how nice and kind you are. They will hate you because the more time you spend with Jesus Christ, the more you will become like him. God will give you a prophet like him, who is one of your own people. This prophet can be a man or woman but he/she will teach you everything you need to know, so you can go out and help others in all nations.
In Luke 4:24 “And he said, Verily I say unto you, No prophet is accepted in his own country.” However, all people will not accept you, especially your family; they will be the hardest one and will hate you the most. Now you know for a fact that your family will not accept you as a prophet but you know what you are. God already made you a prophet, apostle, evangelist or pastor before you were in your mother’s womb and you cannot change that. If you do not accept that title, God will put you in a position where you have no choice but to accept that title.
In Luke 21:16-17 “And ye shall be betrayed both by parents, and brethren, and kinsfolks, and friends; and some of you shall they cause to be put to death. And ye shall be hated of all men for my name’s sake. ”
Your family is the worst ones and will hurt you the most. It might hurt you but it is the truth. Remember the world hated Jesus Christ before they hate you. People will leave out your lives, you can’t change them so let them go. They are not meant to be in your life in the first place. Do not try to change anything; you keep your eyes on Christ. Everyone can’t go where you are going because it is not meant for them to go with you.
In Acts 7:51-53 “You stubborn people, with uncircumcised hearts and ears! You are always resisting the Holy Spirit, like your ancestors did! Which of the prophets did your ancestors not persecute? They killed those who foretold long ago the coming of the Righteous One, whose betrayers and murderers you have now become! You received the law by decrees given by angels, but you did not obey it.”
I know I went through Hell with my family, they turned completely against me. What makes it so sad was that I lived with them? They will call me so many negative names and everything but my name. In fact, one day they called me stupid and crazy because I always said that God will work out everything. I just stop talking to them about God because they will never understand. That day I learned you can’t always talk to people about God tell them what God said because they won’t receive it. Even though some of my family members turned against me, not all of them did and I become closer to other members of my family and brought them closer to Jesus Christ.
What I had to realize is that I had to follow God regardless of the situation? My family couldn’t take me where Jesus Christ could so I kept falling God even more, I didn’t care about my family getting mad at me. The more I became closer to Jesus Christ the more they hate me because they said I was changing and I did not act the same anymore. The enemy had them so blind and fooled they could not see I changed for the better. Therefore, they were looking, hearing and seeing with their natural eyes instead of with their spiritual eyes and ears.
During my journey walk with God I have lost so many so called friends, family members, and other people as well but God will remove people out your life for a reason. I had to learn that God will separate you from people that will hinder your walk with Jesus Christ and through it all it will make you stronger. God will use provokers to promote you!
